  • Passenger Check-in

    between Vancouver/ Victoria:

    All passengers must check-in for all departures at least 20 minutes prior to flight time.
    Failure to check-in may result in a penalty and/or cancellation of reservation(s).
    See No-Show Policy for details.

  • Travel Documentation

    Government issued Photo ID must be presented at check-in.
    Passengers connecting to other flights, must ensure that they carry the correct Customs and Immigration documentation required for those flights.

    General:
    Government issued photo identification is required at check-in for all flights.
    It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure they carry correct documentation for both the destination and the return flight, particularly international travellers.
    It is advisable to contact the consulate of your destination country for any special identification requirements.
    Passports, proof of citizenship and/or visas should be available.

    Helijet does not assume responsibility for passengers carrying incorrect documentation.

    Government issued photo identification:
    Passport, Driver Licence & Provincial ID Card.

  • Accessibility

    Passengers with limited mobility and/or special needs please advise a Helijet Reservations agent by phone at 1.800.665.4354 prior to travel.
    This will help Helijet ensure your check-in and flight experience will be as pleasant as possible.
    If you will be travelling with a Special Assistance Animal please advise a Helijet Reservations agent as an additional seat will be required.

    Terminals and Aircraft:
    All Helijet terminals are fully accessible. Aircraft are accessible with some capacity limits.

  • No Show Policy

    If you fail to check-in for a flight, a non-refundable penalty equal to the fare of the one-way travel will apply.
    Failure to check in will also result in any onward and/or return reservations being cancelled and payment of these flights held in a credit file.

    More restrictive rules may apply to discounted fares.

  • Service Charges

    Service charges may apply for refund requests, changes to reservations (subject to individual fare rules) and for copies of any receipts or tickets.

  • Baggage Liability

    At noted in Rule 10 of the Helijet Local Domestic Tariff , the liability for the loss of and/or damage to any personal property, including baggage or goods is limited to an amount equal to the value of such baggage or goods, which shall not exceed $250 (CAD) per passenger, unless greater value declared.

  • Restricted Articles

    Due to transport Canada regulations some items may be restricted from travel.
    Please check before packing to ensure all belongings will travel with you on your journey.

    The following items are not permitted in carry-on baggage:
    • firearms
    • sharp cutting objects
    • sporting equipment
    • restraining devices
    • power tools

  • Baggage Allowance

    Baggage Restrictions vary depending on the route and aircraft type; please consult the information below.
    We recommend confirming restrictions before packing for travel to ensure your check-in experience is as quick as possible.

    At this time all scheduled flights are operated by Sikorsky S76 aircraft.

    • Flights operated by Sikorsky S76 helicopter baggage limit – 2 pc per person totaling max 50 lbs/22kgs, no cabin baggage

    Excess baggage will be accepted on a space available basis only.

    Packing:
    Sporting Equipment, including Skis, Snowboards, Boots or Golf Clubs must be suitably contained and packaged for air travel.
    Helijet does not provide any sort of materials needed.

    Please advise a Helijet Reservations agent before travel if you are travelling with excess baggage, sporting equipment or other baggage that may require special handling.

  • Pets on Helijet

    Planning on travelling to one of Helijet's destinations with a four-legged friend?
    Helijet carries small pets and animals on our aircraft, however, restrictions apply subject to aircraft capacity.
    If you have a Special Assistance Animal, please advise Helijet Reservations at 1.800.665.4354. More information is available under Accessibility.

    Sikorsky S76:

    • On flights operated by the Sikorsky S76 Helicopter, no pets or animals, with the exception of seeing eye dogs, are permitted in the cabin.
    • Carriage: all animals must be in a hard sided kennel and will travel in the cargo bay. Dimensions: 60cm x 60cm x 90cm (h24 w24 L36)
    • As the comfort of you and your pet is foremost in our minds, please be advised that the cargo bay is not pressurized and is very noisy.
